Why is this important? The best way to understand "Leave No Trace" principals is to picture yourself hiking and camping in the wilderness. You are in a very wild and remote part of Alaska. There is no sign of human activity. Perhaps the thought crosses your mind "I might be the first human to walk exactly right here, or in this area." It is just so wild and remote with no sign of human activity. That is a cool experience to have, a rewarding thought to ponder.
Regardless of whether or not you are actually the first human to explore that particular area; it is the "Leave No Trace" philosophy that makes your experience so special and rewarding. Please keep track of all of your trash including little plastic candy wrappers. Either burn everything that is burnable or remove it from the field with your non-burnable items. Please bury or burn your toilet paper.
